HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Mount Carmel High School Golf Team on the occasion of winning 
5the IHSA Class 1A State Golf Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Mount Carmel High School Golf Team finished 
7the 2-day, 36-hole IHSA Class 1A State Golf Championship at 
8Bloomington's Prairie Vista Golf Course with a combined score 
9of 620, defeating Effingham St. Anthony by 5 strokes; the 
10team's seniors have a 4-year record of 228-33; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Mount Carmel High School Golf Team's victory 
12marks the school's first State championship victory since the 
13school's football team in 1981; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf 
15Team are Tucker Guisewite, Wade Thompson, Grant Williams, David 
16Schroeder, Christian Seaton, and Chase Witsman; the team's 
17coach is John White; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, The members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf 
19Team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication 
20for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate the members of the Mount Carmel High School Golf 
4Team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A State Golf 
5Championship and wish them continued success and happiness in 
6the future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Mount Carmel High School Golf Team coach John 
9White  as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
