HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Helen E. Fesser of 
4Evergreen Park on her 100th birthday, December 11, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Helen Ax was born on December 11, 1910, in 
6Edwardsville; she was the second oldest of 7 children; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, She married Archie Fesser of Taylorville and 
8together they moved to Evergreen Park; she has lived in the 
9same home for the past 65 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Helen and Archie met at Michigan Motor Freight 
11Line in Chicago, where they both worked; Helen had previously 
12worked at Rogers Park Community Hospital, where she did 
13clerical work; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, After the birth of her daughter, Helen stayed at 
15home; after her daughter started the eighth grade, Helen began 
16selling Avon products and worked as an Avon representative from 
17January 1960 to January 2009; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Helen reads the newspaper everyday, loves to watch 
19Westerns and other movies, and loves to read books; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3congratulate Helen Fesser on reaching this milestone date and 
4wish her continued good health and happiness; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Helen Fesser as a symbol of our respect and 
7esteem.
