| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Wilhelm |
| 4 | | Herb Tauscher of Christopher, who passed away on November 19, |
| 5 | | 2010; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was born on February 24, 1939, in |
| 7 | | Mount Vernon; his parents were Herbert W. Tauscher and Letitia |
| 8 | | (Sylvia) Tauscher; he married Babe Patsy (Dixson) Tauscher; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher served his country with pride and |
| 10 | | distinction as a member of the United States Coast Guard for 22 |
| 11 | | years; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was employed as a coal miner at |
| 13 | | Kerr Magee for 15 years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was a former Fall Festival Grand |
| 15 | | Marshal; he was a past president of the Christopher Lions Club; |
| 16 | | he was a past commander of the Christopher American Legion; he |
| 17 | | was a devoted member and supporter of the Democratic Party; he |
| 18 | | was also the inspiration for the bocce ball court in |
| 19 | | Christopher; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher was preceded in death by his |
|

| 1 | | parents and his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bob |
| 2 | | Fortman; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Wilhelm Tauscher is survived by his children, |
| 4 | | Donita and Scott Coffel, John Peer, and Melissa Gayle Hartsell; |
| 5 | | his grandchildren, Jessica and Randy Peterman, Amanda Leah |
| 6 | | Yates, Alyson and Corey Leeper, John Peer II, Erica and Hunter |
| 7 | | Moore, Kelsey Peer, and Kristin Peer; his great-grandchildren, |
| 8 | | Morgan, Nolan, Bryce, Abigail, Evelyn, Ashton, and Isabella; |
| 9 | | his cousin, Beverly Rolla; his brother and his sisters-in-law; |
| 10 | | his nieces and nephews; his dear friends, Ivan Davis and Kenny |
| 11 | | Berryman; and his loving companion, Shorty the dog; therefore, |
| 12 | | be it

| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 | | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 15 | | mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of |
| 16 | | Wilhelm Herb Tauscher; and be it further

| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to the family of Wilhelm Tauscher as an expression of |
| 19 | | our sympathy.
