| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 28 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding |

| Section 25-5-25 as follows:

| (735 ILCS 30/25-5-25 new)

| Sec. 25-5-25. Quick-take; City of Country Club Hills. |

| Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a |
| 9 |
| period of 5 years after January 1, 2009 by the City of Country |
| 10 |
| Club Hills for the acquisition of land for the purpose of |
| 11 |
| building streets, roadways, or other public improvements to |
| 12 |
| serve the City's I-57/I-80 Tax Increment Financing District.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 |
| becoming law.".
