New Act










    Creates the Prohibition on University Employment Act.  Prohibits a public university or a private university that receives State funds from employing a person who has committed an act of violence against the government of the United States of America or the State of Illinois.

    AN ACT concerning higher education.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the 
5
Prohibition on University Employment Act.

    Section 5. Definition of university. "University" means a 
7
public university in this State or a private university located 
8
in this State that receives State funds.

    Section 10. Act of violence against government.  A 
10
university is prohibited from employing a person who has 
11
committed an act of violence against the government of the 
12
United States of America or the State of Illinois.
