| "Section 5. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act is amended |

| by changing Section 1-105 as follows:

| (5 ILCS 420/1-105) (from Ch. 127, par. 601-105)

| Sec. 1-105.
"Economic opportunity" means any purchase, |

contract, option, or other transaction or |

| arrangement involving property or
services wherein a |

| legislator may gain an economic benefit. The
