| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section |

| 27A-1 as follows:

| Sec. 27A-1. Short title and application. This Article may |

| be cited as

the Charter Schools Law. This Article applies |

including special charter districts |
