| AN ACT concerning government.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Intergovernmental Cooperation Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 2. Definitions. For the
the purpose of this Act: |
| 8 |
| (1) The term "public agency" shall mean any unit of local |
| 9 |
| government as
defined in the Illinois Constitution of 1970, any |
| 10 |
| school district, any public
community college district, any |
| 11 |
| public building commission, the
State of Illinois, any agency |
| 12 |
| of the State government or of the United
States, or of any |
| 13 |
| other State, any political subdivision of another
State, and |
| 14 |
| any combination of the above pursuant to an intergovernmental
|
| 15 |
| agreement which includes provisions for a governing body of the |
| 16 |
| agency created
by the agreement.
|
| 17 |
| For the purposes of this Act, "public agency" includes the |
| 18 |
| Mid-America
Intermodal Authority Port District created under |
| 19 |
| the Mid-America Intermodal
Authority Port District Act.
|
| 20 |
| (2) The term "state" shall mean a state of the United |
| 21 |
| States.
|
