| 1 | AN ACT concerning education.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | ||||||
| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The Task Force on Higher Education Private | ||||||
| 5 | Student Loans is amended by changing Sections 1, 20, 25, and 90 | ||||||
| 6 | as follows: | ||||||

| 9 | Sec. 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Task | ||||||
| 10 | Force on Higher Education Private Student Loans Act.

| 14 | Sec. 20. Task Force assistance. | ||||||
| 15 | (a) The Office of the Illinois Student Assistance | ||||||
| 16 | Commission shall be responsible for administrative and | ||||||
| 17 | logistical support of the Task Force on Higher Education | ||||||
| 18 | Private Student Loans, including coordination of Task Force | ||||||
| 19 | member appointments, distribution of meeting notices and | ||||||
| 20 | minutes, coordination of meeting logistics, facilitation of | ||||||
| 21 | public meetings, and the drafting and filing of the report | ||||||
| 22 | under Section 25 of this Act. Task Force members or staff | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | liaisons or both may confer and collaborate with relevant State | ||||||
| 2 | and national organizations with expertise.
| ||||||
| 3 | (b) It is the expectation of the General Assembly that | ||||||
| 4 | institutions of higher learning in this State comply with | ||||||
| 5 | reasonable requests from the Task Force on Higher Education | ||||||
| 6 | Private Student Loans or its support staff for aggregated data | ||||||
| 7 | relevant to the purposes of the Task Force. | ||||||

| 11 | Sec. 25. Report; dissolution of Task Force. The Task Force | ||||||
| 12 | on Higher Education Private Student Loans shall report its | ||||||
| 13 | findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by filing | ||||||
| 14 | copies of its report by December 31, 2011 2010 as provided in | ||||||
| 15 | Section 3.1 of the General Assembly Organization Act. Upon | ||||||
| 16 | filing this report the Task Force is dissolved.
