| AN ACT concerning regulation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 2.18 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 2.18.
"Day care homes" means family homes which |
| 8 |
| receive
more than 3 up to a maximum of 12 children for less |
| 9 |
| than 24 hours per day.

The number counted includes the |

| family's natural or adopted children and
all other persons |
| 11 |
| under the age of 12. The term does not include facilities
which |
| 12 |
| receive only children from a single household. |
