    AN ACT concerning safety.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Gasoline Storage Act is amended by changing 
5
Section 5 as follows:

    Sec. 5. 
(a) Monies in the
the Underground Storage Tank

Fund, pursuant to appropriation, may be used by the
Office of 
9
the State Fire Marshal for the purposes set forth in Section

10
22.13 of the Environmental Protection Act, and the Office of 
11
the State
Fire Marshal may withdraw expenses from the fund to 
12
finance the operation,
maintenance and collection of the fund.
13
    (b) The State Fire Marshal is authorized to enter into such 
14
contracts
and agreements as may be necessary, and as 
15
expeditiously as necessary, to
carry out the Office of the 
16
State Fire Marshal's duties under this Section.
