| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1654, on page 5, |

| immediately above line 23, by inserting the following:

| "Section 7. The University of Illinois Act is amended by |

| adding Section 12.5 as follows:

| (110 ILCS 305/12.5 new) |

| Sec. 12.5. Study of effect of the Lottery on Illinois |
| 8 |
| families. The University of Illinois at Champaign shall conduct |
| 9 |
| a study, subject to appropriation, on the effect on Illinois |
| 10 |
| families of members of the family purchasing Illinois Lottery |
| 11 |
| tickets. The University
of Illinois at Champaign shall report |
| 12 |
| its findings to the
General Assembly on or before January 1, |
| 13 |
| 2011.".
