SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates the following sums from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services: (1) for addiction prevention and related services, $12,718,600; (2) for costs associated with community based addiction treatment for Medicaid eligible and KidCare clients, including prior year costs, $70,334,900; and (3) for costs associated with community based addiction treatment services, $135,999,700. Effective July 1, 2009.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The following sums, or so much of those amounts as may be necessary, are appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Human Services for the purposes named:
(1) For addiction prevention grants-in-aid: for addiction prevention and related services, $12,718,600.
(2) For addiction treatment grants-in-aid: for costs associated with community based addiction treatment for Medicaid eligible and KidCare clients, including prior year costs, $70,334,900.
(3) For addiction treatment grants-in-aid: for costs associated with community based addiction treatment services, $135,999,700.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
