Appropriates $700,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants to Illinois organizations. Effective July 1, 2009.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $700,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for grants to Illinois organizations to improve their performance by encouraging, developing, and highlighting excellence among 5 sectors: industrial enterprises, service providers, health care organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
