Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Insurance for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, as follows:

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

ARTICLE 1

    Section 5.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the Insurance Producer Administration Fund to the Department of Insurance:

PRODUCER ADMINISTRATION

  For Personal Services.......................... 5,008,600

  For State Contributions to the State

   Employees' Retirement System.................... 568,400

  For State Contributions to Social Security....... 383,200

  For Group Insurance............................ 1,403,500

  For Contractual Services......................... 266,800

  For Travel....................................... 122,100

  For Refunds...................................... 169,800

    Total                                        $7,922,400

    Section 10.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the Insurance Financial Regulation Fund to the Department of Insurance:

   Employees' Retirement System.................... 793,100

  For State Contributions to Social Security....... 534,600

  For Group Insurance............................ 1,773,600

    Section 15.  The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Department of Insurance from the Public Pension Regulation Fund:

PENSION DIVISION

  For Personal Services............................ 598,100

  For State Contributions to the State

   Employees' Retirement System..................... 70,000

  For State Contributions to Social Security........ 45,800

  For Group Insurance.............................. 154,200

  For Contractual Services.......................... 12,200

  For Travel........................................ 47,000

    Total                                          $927,300

    Section 20.  The sum of $800,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Senior Health Insurance Program Fund to the Department of Insurance for the administration of the Senior Health Insurance Program.

    Section 25.  The sum of $485,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission Operations Fund to the Department of Insurance for costs associated with the administration and operations of the Insurance Fraud Division of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission’s anti-fraud program.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2009.
