| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2551

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2551 on page 7, |
| 3 |
| line 20, by inserting after the period the following: |
| 4 |
| "If the investigation, arrest or arrests and prosecution |
| 5 |
| leading to the forfeiture were undertaken by the Attorney |
| 6 |
| General, the portion provided hereunder shall be paid into the |
| 7 |
| Attorney General's Whistleblower Reward and Protection Fund in |
| 8 |
| the State treasury to be used by the Attorney General in |
| 9 |
| accordance with law."; and
|
| 10 |
| on page 8, lines 1 and 2, by replacing "State Asset Forfeiture |
| 11 |
| Fund" with "Attorney General's Whistleblower Reward and |
| 12 |
| Protection Fund"; and
|
| 13 |
| on page 8, line 6, by replacing "State Asset Forfeiture Fund" |
| 14 |
| with "State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor Anti-Corruption |
| 15 |
| Fund"; and
|

| on page 8, lines 17 and 18, by replacing "State Asset |

| Forfeiture Fund" with "Attorney General's Whistleblower Reward |

| and Protection Fund"; and

| on page 9, by replacing lines 2 through 5 with the following: |

| "(h) All moneys deposited pursuant to this Act in the State |
| 6 |
| Asset Forfeiture Fund shall, subject to appropriation, be used |
| 7 |
| by the Department of State Police in the manner set forth in |
| 8 |
| this Section. All moneys deposited pursuant to this Act in the |
| 9 |
| Attorney General's Whistleblower Reward and Protection Fund |
| 10 |
| shall, subject to appropriation, be used by the Attorney |
| 11 |
| General for State law enforcement purposes and for the |
| 12 |
| performance of the duties of that office. All moneys deposited |
| 13 |
| pursuant to this Act in the State's Attorneys Appellate |
| 14 |
| Prosecutor Anti-Corruption Fund shall, subject to |
| 15 |
| appropriation, be used by the Office of the State's Attorneys |
| 16 |
| Appellate Prosecutor in the manner set forth in this Section."; |
| 17 |
| and
|
| 18 |
| on page 19, by inserting immediately below line 9 the |
| 19 |
| following:
|
| 20 |
| "Section 55. The State Finance Act is amended by adding |
| 21 |
| Section 5.755 as follows:
|
