| AN ACT concerning regulation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 3-202.1 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| Sec. 3-202.1.
The Department shall develop and implement a |
| 8 |
| system of
alerting and educating facilities and their personnel |
| 9 |
| as to the existence
or possibility of weather or other |
| 10 |
| hazardous circumstances which may
endanger resident health or |
| 11 |
| safety safety and designating any precautions to
prevent or |
| 12 |
| minimize such danger. The Department may assist any facility
|
| 13 |
| experiencing difficulty in dealing with such emergencies. The |
| 14 |
| Department
may provide for announcement to the public of the |
| 15 |
| dangers posed to facility
residents by such existing or |
| 16 |
| potential weather or hazardous circumstances.
