| 1 | | AN ACT concerning transportation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 18d-180 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/18d-180)

| 7 | | Sec. 18d-180. Applicability. |
| 8 | | (a) The provisions of this Chapter apply to all the |
| 9 | | activities of safety relocators in any jurisdiction to which |
| 10 | | Chapter 18a of this Code applies in accordance with Section |
| 11 | | 18a-700.
|
| 12 | | (b) Any county with a population of less than 3,000,000 |
| 13 | | inhabitants to which Chapter 18a of this Code applies may, by |
| 14 | | resolution, choose to be excluded from the application of this |
| 15 | | Chapter in that county. Upon adoption of a resolution by the |
| 16 | | County Board, approved by a majority of its members, providing |
| 17 | | that the county shall not be subject to this Chapter, the |
| 18 | | county clerk shall certify to the Commission that the County |
| 19 | | Board has adopted the resolution. |

| 22 | | becoming law.
