| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3188 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by |

| changing Section 155.20 as follows:

| (215 ILCS 5/155.20) (from Ch. 73, par. 767.20)

| Sec. 155.20.
All final arbitration decisions rendered in |
| 8 |
| relation to disputes
or controversies arising out of injuries |
| 9 |
| allegedly caused by reason of hospital
or health care provider |
| 10 |
| malpractice shall be recognized by any insurance
company doing |
| 11 |
| business in the
the State of Illinois and all findings of facts
|
| 12 |
| relating to liability and awards of damages in relation thereto |
| 13 |
| which are
a part of the final arbitration decision shall be |
| 14 |
| binding on such insurance companies. |
