| AN ACT concerning regulation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 |
| Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section 6 as follows:
|
6 |
| (225 ILCS 60/6) (from Ch. 111, par. 4400-6)
|

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on December 31, 2010)
|

| Sec. 6.
It is declared to be the the public policy of this |
9 |
| State, pursuant to
paragraphs (h) and (i) of Section 6 of |
10 |
| Article VII of the Illinois
Constitution of 1970, that any |
11 |
| power or function set forth in this
Act to be exercised by the |
12 |
| State is an exclusive State power or function.
Such power or |
13 |
| function shall not be exercised concurrently, either directly
|
14 |
| or indirectly, by any unit of local government, including home |
15 |
| rule units,
except as otherwise provided in this Act.
