AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3336

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3336, AS AMENDED,

by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the

following:

    "Section 5. The Fire Protection District Act is amended  by 
6
changing Section 7 as follows:

    (70 ILCS 705/7)  (from Ch. 127 1/2, par. 27)

    Sec. 7. Posting and publication of ordinances. All 
9
ordinances imposing any penalty or making any appropriations

10
shall, within one month after they are passed, be (i) posted 
11
electronically on the fire protection district's website in a 
12
manner that is accessible to the general public and posted in 
13
at least one public place within the fire protection district 
14
or (ii) published at least once
in a newspaper published in 
15
said district, or if no such newspaper of
general circulation 
16
is published therein, then either by one publication in
any

newspaper of general circulation within said territory or by 
2
posting
copies of the same in ten public places in the 
3
district. No ; and no such
ordinance shall take effect until 
4
ten days after it is so published or
posted, and all other

ordinances and resolutions shall take effect from and
after

their passage unless otherwise provided therein.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
