AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3509

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3509, on page 3, 
3
line 8, after "professional", by inserting ", unless precluded 
4
by adopted sterilization or isolation protocols"; and
 
5
on page 3, line 11, by replacing "The" with "If the health care 
6
professional has an office in which he or she sees current or 
7
prospective patients, then the"; and
 
8
on page 3, immediately below line 22, by inserting the 
9
following:

    "(b-5) A health care worker or provider who is not licensed 
11
by the State shall also wear a name tag during all patient 
12
encounters that clearly identifies his or her position or 
13
title. The name tag shall be of sufficient size and be worn in 
14
a conspicuous manner so as to be visible and apparent. No 
15
positions or titles that conflict with licensed health care 
16
professionals may be used."; and

on page 4, by replacing lines 6 through 13 with the following:

    "(c) Any health care professional who violates any 
3
provision of this Act is guilty of unprofessional conduct and 
4
subject to disciplinary action under the appropriate 
5
provisions of the specific Act governing that health care 
6
profession.".
