AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3707

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3707, AS AMENDED,

with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
4
1 as follows:

on page 8, by inserting immediately below line 24 the 
6
following:

    "Section 10. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is 
8
amended  by adding Section 7 as follows:
 
9
    (215 ILCS 106/7 new)
10
    Sec. 7. Continued eligibility. Notwithstanding any other 
11
provision of this Act to the contrary, the Department of 
12
Healthcare and Family Services shall require a recipient of 
13
benefits under this Act to supply at least 2 consecutive pay 
14
stubs for the purpose of determining the recipient's continued 
15
eligibility for those benefits. The Department shall send a

determination notice to the recipient at least 30 days prior to 
2
the end of the period of eligibility that informs the recipient 
3
of the requirements for continued eligibility. If the recipient 
4
does not fulfill the requirements of this Section by the end of 
5
the period of eligibility, that recipient shall no longer be 
6
eligible to receive those benefits.

    Section 15. The Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance  Act is 
8
amended  by adding Section 7 as follows:

    (215 ILCS 170/7 new)
10
    Sec. 7. Continued eligibility. Notwithstanding any other 
11
provision of this Act to the contrary, the Department of 
12
Healthcare and Family Services shall require a recipient of 
13
benefits under this Act to supply at least 2 consecutive pay 
14
stubs for the purpose of determining the recipient's continued 
15
eligibility for those benefits. The Department shall send a 
16
determination notice to the recipient at least 30 days prior to 
17
the end of the period of eligibility that informs the recipient 
18
of the requirements for continued eligibility. If the recipient 
19
does not fulfill the requirements of this Section by the end of 
20
the period of eligibility, that recipient shall no longer be 
21
eligible to receive those benefits."; and
