SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Arts Council for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010, as follows:

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
ARTICLE 1
Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Arts Council:
Payable from the General Revenue Fund:
For Personal Services.......................... 1,195,600
For State Contributions to
Social Security.................................. 95,200
For Contractual Services......................... 189,300
For Travel........................................ 33,800
For Commodities.................................... 8,000
For Printing...................................... 12,500
For Equipment...................................... 4,000
For Electronic Data Processing.................... 47,000
For Telecommunications Services................... 32,000
For Travel and Meeting Expenses of
the Arts Council and Panel Members................. 0
Total $1,617,400
Section 10. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the Illinois Arts Council to enhance the cultural environment in Illinois:
Payable from General Revenue Fund:
For Grants and Financial Assistance for
Arts Organizations............................ 2,901,200
For Grants and Financial Assistance for
Special Constituencies.......................... 545,200
For Grants and Financial Assistance for
International Grant Awards............................ 0
For Grants and Financial Assistance for
Arts Education.................................. 300,000

Payable from Illinois Arts Council
Federal Grant Fund:
For Grants and Programs to Enhance
the Cultural Environment...................... 1,000,000
For the purposes of Administrative
Costs and Awarding Grants associated with
the Education Leadership Institute............ 1,000,000
Section 15. The sum of $322,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for the purpose of funding administrative and grant expenses associated with humanities programs and related activities.
Section 20 The amount of $1,890,300 or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Arts Council for grants to certain public radio and television stations and related administrative expenses, pursuant to the Public Radio and Television Grant Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
