SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The House Prosecutor has exhibited an article of 
3
impeachment against Governor Rod R. Blagojevich and has filed 
4
the House impeachment record with the Secretary; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, The impeachment trial of Governor Rod R. 
6
Blagojevich is now pending before the Senate; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, An initial schedule for those proceedings should 
8
be established; therefore, be it

 
9
    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
10
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that the following schedule 
11
for the impeachment trial of Governor Rod R. Blagojevich is 
12
established, subject to revision by the President or as 
13
otherwise provided in the Senate Impeachment Rules:

Wednesday, January 14, 2009:

    *Issuance of summons to Governor  Rod R. Blagojevich.

Saturday, January 17, 2009:

    *(12:00 noon) Governor to file his appearance and  answer to

article of impeachment.
