| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Helen E. Stringer of Lake Villa, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on January 5, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Helen Stringer was born on January 7, 1927 in |
| 6 |
| Chicago; she married Earl Stringer on October 16, 1948; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Helen Stringer graduated from the Augustana |
| 8 |
| Hospital School of Nursing in 1948; she considered herself |
| 9 |
| blessed to be able to do the work she loved for so many years; |
| 10 |
| she retired from Victory Memorial Hospital on January 12, 1990 |
| 11 |
| after 38 years of service; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Helen Stringer attended Chain O' Lakes Bible |
| 13 |
| Church; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Helen Stringer was preceded in death by her |
| 15 |
| husband; her daughter, Susan Clark; and her sisters, Lucille |
| 16 |
| McGowan and Elizabeth Lorinat; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Helen Stringer is survived by her devoted sons, |
| 18 |
| David Earl and John Scott; her grandchild, Maryellen Stringer; |
| 19 |
| and her siblings, William H. Schults, Ruth Grossman, and Doris |
| 20 |
| Sommerfield; therefore, be it
