SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Joanne M. Henderson of Waukegan, who 
4
passed away on March 10, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Joanne Henderson was born on March 28, 1938 in 
6
Waukegan; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Joanne Henderson retired as a jeweler with 
8
Henderson Jewelers in downtown Waukegan in 1995 after 25 years 
9
of dedicated service; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Joanne Henderson enjoyed northern Wisconsin; she 
11
loved her grandchildren and cooking; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Joanne Henderson was preceded in death by her 
13
husband, Hobie Henderson in 2003; her first husband, Gust 
14
Lavris in 1997; her mother, Ann Ryti; and her father, Leo 
15
McCarthy; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Joanne Henderson is survived by her children, 
17
James (Winona) Lavris, Peter (Darlene) Lavris, Tim (Meg) 
18
Lavris, Tom (Deborah) Lavris, Andrew (Michele) Lavris, and 
19
Connie Kristan; her stepfather, Al Ryti; her 13 grandchildren; 
20
and her sisters, Joyce Arlington and Judy (Norb) Friedman;

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
3
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4
her family and friends, the passing of Joanne M. Henderson; and 
5
be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the family of Joanne Henderson as an expression of 
8
our sympathy.
