| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 |
| learn of the death of Henry E. "Hank" Buch, of McHenry, who |
4 |
| passed away on April 1, 2009; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born June 26, 1925, in McHenry, to Henry E. |
6 |
| and Mary (Freund) Buch; on September 23, 1950, he married Alice |
7 |
| C. Mlotkowski at St. Francis DeSales Church in Lake Zurich; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a lifetime resident of McHenry and |
9 |
| graduated from McHenry High School in 1943; immediately after |
10 |
| high school, he entered the United States Army Air Corps, where |
11 |
| he served as a training instructor; after his military service, |
12 |
| he attended architecture school in Chicago; after completing |
13 |
| school, he married Alice and joined his father in the family |
14 |
| business, H.E. Buch & Sons; after his father's death, he |
15 |
| continued to work in the heating and air conditioning |
16 |
| profession and later was joined in business by his son; he |
17 |
| retired in 1990; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in |
19 |
| McHenry since 1951; in addition, he was a volunteer firefighter |
20 |
| with McHenry Township Fire Protection District Co. I, for more |
21 |
| than 34 years; he remained an associate member of the |
22 |
| department after retiring from volunteer service; in addition |

| to the fire department, he very much enjoyed working and |
2 |
| running his business, as well as being with his family; in his |
3 |
| younger years, he served as baseball coach for the Pigtail |
4 |
| League for his son and daughter; and after retirement, he |
5 |
| enjoyed puttering around his workshop, woodworking, and |
6 |
| tending to rental property; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his |
8 |
| brother, Elbert Buch; his niece, Mary Buch; and his nephew, |
9 |
| David Buch; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, Henry Buch is survived by his loving wife of 58 |
11 |
| years, Alice; his children, Kenneth (Linda) Buch, Nancy (Roy) |
12 |
| Stolzman, and Karen Young; his grandchildren, Christopher, |
13 |
| Nicole and Natalie Buch and Scott Young II; his |
14 |
| stepgrandchildren, Roy (Alyssa) Stolzman and Jim Stolzman; his |
15 |
| stepgreat-granddaughters, Ellie and Emma; his sisters, Kathryn |
16 |
| (the late Ernest) Lohr and Helen Bucho; his brother, Jerome |
17 |
| (Ethel) Buch; and a sister-in-law, Agens Buch; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |
19 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
20 |
| his family and friends, the passing of Henry E. "Hank" Buch; |
