SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Danny Turley, who passed away on April 
4
15, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Danny Turley was born on August 30, 1949 in 
6
Jackson, Tennessee; his parents were Guy Nathan and Leona 
7
Turley; he was united in holy matrimony to JoeAnn Turley from 
8
1969 until 1986; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Danny Turley was educated in the Jackson, 
10
Tennessee Public School System and the St. Louis Public School 
11
System; he confessed his hope in Christ at an early age; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Danny Turley was employed with the Quaker State 
13
Motor Oil Company for many years until his retirement; and


 
14
    WHEREAS, Danny Turley was preceded in death by his mother; 
15
and
 
16
    WHEREAS, Danny Turley is survived by his father; his 
17
children, Jerita Turley-White (Keith), Lawanda Turley, and 
18
Brian Peterson; his siblings, Reverend Billy F. Turley, Barbara 
19
(James) Andrews, Doris (Curties) Tolliver, Anthony D. Turley, 
20
and Janice (Bobby) Turner; his grandchildren, Terrance, L.

Peterson; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Danny Turley; and be it 
7
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Danny Turley as an expression of our 
10
sympathy.
