SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Marcus D. Nicholson of Benld, formerly of 
4
Carlinville, who passed away on April 21, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, He was born on April 8, 1976, in Mattoon, to 
6
Richard D. and Carolyn S. Crouch Nicholson; he married Autumn 
7
Grissom on October 22, 2005; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, He was a 1984 graduate of Carlinville High School 
9
and a 1999 graduate of Southern Illinois University in 
10
Carbondale; he was a system analyst specialist at Karmak, 
11
beginning at age 15; and

    WHEREAS, He was a member of the Macoupin Club and enjoyed 
13
fishing and punk rock music; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Marcus D. Nicholson is survived by his wife, 
15
Autumn; his parents; his grandparents, Keith and Alice 
16
Nicholson; his sister, Rachel Anna (Aaron) Watson; his nephews, 
17
Aubren Watson and Otis Watson; his goddaughter, Sophia Hollo; 
18
and his dog, Rella; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
20
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
