| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Linwood W. Turley of Carlinville, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on May 2, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born August 14, 1943, in Festus, Missouri, |
| 6 |
| the son of the late Roy Linwood Turley and the late Verble |
| 7 |
| Evelyn (Wallace) Turley; he married Doris Elaine Morse in the |
| 8 |
| Carlinville United Methodist Church on February 16, 1968; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He graduated from Festus High School in 1961, and |
| 10 |
| St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1966; he was a Registered |
| 11 |
| Pharmacist for Sullivan Drugs in Carlinville since 1966; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of Carlinville United Methodist |
| 13 |
| Church; he loved spending time with his grandchildren, enjoyed |
| 14 |
| fishing, and model trains; he was in the Carlinville Lions Club |
| 15 |
| for 25+ years, a member of the Illinois Pharmaceutical |
| 16 |
| Association, and a past member of First Baptist Church in |
| 17 |
| Festus/Crystal City, Missouri, until he moved to Carlinville in |
| 18 |
| 1966; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, He was a Boy Scout of America Eagle Scout; he was |
| 20 |
| an assistant scoutmaster for BSA Troop 62 in Carlinville, and |
| 21 |
| later a District Commissioner for the Abraham Lincoln Council; |
