| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of M. Keith "Red" Mefford of Carlinville, |
| 4 |
| who passed away on April 21, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on February 5, 1933, in Hettick, to |
| 6 |
| Wayne and Margurete Ladley Mefford; he married Barbara L. |
| 7 |
| Miller on June 18, 1955 in Carlinville; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a 1951 graduate of Carlinville High School; |
| 9 |
| he served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict; |
| 10 |
| he was a supervisor for the Illinois Department of |
| 11 |
| Transportation; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, M. Keith "Red" Mefford is survived by his wife, |
| 14 |
| Barbara; his sons, Bradley (Paula Schaefer) Mefford and Douglas |
| 15 |
| (Laura) Mefford; his daughters, Lori (Mark) Hopping and Tracy |
| 16 |
| (Randy) Bilbruck; his grandchildren, Lexi Bilbruck, Darci |
| 17 |
| Bilbruck, Lucas Mefford, and Elsa Mefford; his brother, Bill |
| 18 |
| (Marcia) Mefford; his sisters, Mary (Roy) Hurst and Janet (Ted) |
| 19 |
| Collins; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
