| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Cynthia Charise Brown, who passed away on |
| 4 |
| April 13, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown was born on August 9, 1973 in |
| 6 |
| Chicago; her parents were Steve and Grace Brown; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown accepted Christ at an early age |
| 8 |
| under the leadership of Pastor Willie B. Jemison at Oakdale |
| 9 |
| Covenant Church, where she served as a member of the Youth |
| 10 |
| Choir and Adult Choir; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown graduated from Orr Academy High |
| 12 |
| School in 1992; she was employed with the Williams Lea Law |
| 13 |
| Firm; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown is survived by her parents; her |
| 15 |
| brothers, Steve Anthony Jr. and Fredrick LaRon; her |
| 16 |
| grandmother, Willie Mae Brooks; her nieces, Tiara and Kya; her |
| 17 |
| nephews, KeJuan and DeJuan; her loving fiance, Timothy Stokes; |
| 18 |
| and her many other relatives and friends; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown will be remembered by all who knew |
| 20 |
| and loved her as a fun-loving young woman whose friendly nature |
