SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Cynthia Charise Brown, who passed away on April 13, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown was born on August 9, 1973 in Chicago; her parents were Steve and Grace Brown; and

WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Willie B. Jemison at Oakdale Covenant Church, where she served as a member of the Youth Choir and Adult Choir; and

WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown graduated from Orr Academy High School in 1992; she was employed with the Williams Lea Law Firm; and

WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown is survived by her parents; her brothers, Steve Anthony Jr. and Fredrick LaRon; her grandmother, Willie Mae Brooks; her nieces, Tiara and Kya; her nephews, KeJuan and DeJuan; her loving fiance, Timothy Stokes; and her many other relatives and friends; and

WHEREAS, Cynthia Brown will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a fun-loving young woman whose friendly nature and ever-present smile endeared her to everyone she met; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Cynthia Charise Brown; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Cynthia Brown as an expression of our sympathy.
