SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Chuck Saponaro, who passed away on May 
4
21, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was born on March 3, 1957 in 
6
Cleveland, Ohio; he was the son of the late Charles S. Saponaro 
7
and Loretta Saponaro; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was very involved in his profession 
9
and touched many lives in his real estate work; he was also 
10
very active in his children's school and social activities, 
11
including sports and coaching duties; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was a civic leader in fundraising 
13
and was respected and admired as a colleague and friend by 
14
people in many walks of life throughout the Chicago area and 
15
beyond; after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he 
16
fought for the cause and willingly appeared during his illness 
17
for a Pancreatic Cancer fundraiser walk; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro was married to Jill Peet Saponaro; 
19
he was the father of his loving children, Storm Anthony and 
20
Jett Alexander Saponaro, and the dear brother of David and 
21
Scott Saponaro and Lisa Stokes; and

    WHEREAS, Chuck Saponaro will be remembered by all who knew 
2
and loved him as a loving husband, father, son, and brother 
3
whose kindness and compassion were unmatched; therefore, be it

 
4
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
his family and friends, the passing of Chuck Saponaro; and be 
7
it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Chuck Saponaro as an expression of 
10
our sympathy.
