| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Edward P. "Mousie" Maluska Sr. of North |
| 4 |
| Chicago, who passed away on November 1, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on October 8, 1910 in Chicago, the son |
| 6 |
| of Victor and Lillian Maluska; he received his primary |
| 7 |
| education from the Felician Nuns at Holy Rosary School, and was |
| 8 |
| a parishioner of Queen of Peach Church (formerly Holy Rosary |
| 9 |
| Church); and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He served in the United States Navy during World |
| 11 |
| War II, from 1943 to 1946; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the American Legion Post 397 |
| 13 |
| and the Polish National Alliance; after his retirement from the |
| 14 |
| Illinois Tollway in 1978 he remained active as the manager of |
| 15 |
| Maluska Bowling Lanes for 5 years; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria; |
| 17 |
| his infant son, Gregory; his parents, Victor and Lillian |
| 18 |
| Maluska; and his sisters, Florence (Wasil) and Ann (May); and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Edward Maluska Sr. is survived by his children, |
| 20 |
| Lorraine Glasscock, Edward (Dolly) Maluska Jr., and Robert |
