| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Peter J. Hogan, formerly of Arlington |
| 4 |
| Heights; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Peter Hogan was a native of Arlington Heights; |
| 6 |
| attended St. James School and graduated from St. Viator High |
| 7 |
| School in 1972; he then earned his business degree at Regis |
| 8 |
| College in Denver; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Peter Hogan was elected to serve on the Arlington |
| 10 |
| Heights Village Board in 1987; he served less than one term |
| 11 |
| before his career took him to South Bend, Indiana; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, During his tenure on the Arlington Heights Village |
| 13 |
| Board, Peter Hogan served on the Memorial and Fundraising |
| 14 |
| Committee of the Centennial Commission; as a member of the |
| 15 |
| commission, he helped to raise $400,000 to develop the |
| 16 |
| village's clock tower; today, his role in village government |
| 17 |
| lives on in a time capsule buried beneath the tower; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Peter Hogan formerly worked as vice president of |
| 19 |
| investments and assistant branch manager of Prudential |
| 20 |
| Securities in Schaumburg; he also managed assets for Prudential |
| 21 |
| Securities for 18 years and, since 2003, oversaw the |
