SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Peter J. Hogan, formerly of Arlington Heights; and

WHEREAS, Peter Hogan was a native of Arlington Heights; attended St. James School and graduated from St. Viator High School in 1972; he then earned his business degree at Regis College in Denver; and

WHEREAS, Peter Hogan was elected to serve on the Arlington Heights Village Board in 1987; he served less than one term before his career took him to South Bend, Indiana; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure on the Arlington Heights Village Board, Peter Hogan served on the Memorial and Fundraising Committee of the Centennial Commission; as a member of the commission, he helped to raise $400,000 to develop the village's clock tower; today, his role in village government lives on in a time capsule buried beneath the tower; and

WHEREAS, Peter Hogan formerly worked as vice president of investments and assistant branch manager of Prudential Securities in Schaumburg; he also managed assets for Prudential Securities for 18 years and, since 2003, oversaw the Jacksonville, Florida and Daytona Beach, Florida branch operations of Wachovia Securities and A.G. Edwards & Sons; and

WHEREAS, Peter Hogan is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah Hogan; his son, Kevin; his daughter, Siobhan Marie Hogan; and his brothers, Joseph Hogan and Edward Hogan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Peter J. Hogan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Hogan as an expression of our sympathy.
