SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carol A. Aupperle of Morton, who passed away on July 23, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born October 13, 1934, in Pekin to Louis and Lillian (Schreck) Friedinger; she married Kenneth W. Aupperle on August 7, 1955, in Pekin; and

WHEREAS, Carol began her work career at Reuling Department Store in Pekin; she then worked at and retired from William Aupperle & Sons in Morton; her best job was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she was most famous for her chocolate chip cookies; and

WHEREAS, She was a longtime member of the Morton United Methodist Church and a member of the Hannah Circle; she greatly enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and friends, especially on their 50th wedding anniversary cruise; she loved gardening, spending time with friends, and enjoyed doing cross stitch; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Louis Friedinger Jr. and Martin Friedinger; and

WHEREAS, Carol Aupperle is survived by her husband; her four children, Bruce (Debbie) Aupperle, Lori (Earl) Waughop, Lisa (Greg) Stone, and Lynn (Garlan) Guthrie; her five grandchildren; and her two sisters, Jean Bomhold and Mary (George) Connett; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Carol Aupperle; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carol Aupperle as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
