| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Carol A. Aupperle of Morton, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on July 23, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born October 13, 1934, in Pekin to Louis |
| 6 |
| and Lillian (Schreck) Friedinger; she married Kenneth W. |
| 7 |
| Aupperle on August 7, 1955, in Pekin; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Carol began her work career at Reuling Department |
| 9 |
| Store in Pekin; she then worked at and retired from William |
| 10 |
| Aupperle & Sons in Morton; her best job was being a loving |
| 11 |
| wife, mother, and grandmother; she was most famous for her |
| 12 |
| chocolate chip cookies; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was a longtime member of the Morton United |
| 14 |
| Methodist Church and a member of the Hannah Circle; she greatly |
| 15 |
| enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and friends, |
| 16 |
| especially on their 50th wedding anniversary cruise; she loved |
| 17 |
| gardening, spending time with friends, and enjoyed doing cross |
| 18 |
| stitch; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and two |
| 20 |
| brothers, Louis Friedinger Jr. and Martin Friedinger; and
