SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Brian John "BJ" Elsasser II of 
4
Princeville, who passed away on July 24, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser was born on July 13, 1992; he was the 
6
son of Brian John and Mary Beth Menold Elsasser; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser attended Princeville High School, 
8
where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the 
9
Future Farmers of America; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser worked for Economy Builders in 
11
Princeville during the summer months; and
 
12
    WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser was a member of the Sheridan Road 
13
Apostolic Christian Church, where he was an active member of 
14
the church young people's group; he was a very spiritual young 
15
man who was involved in his church; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser was preceded in death by his 
17
grandfathers, John Elsasser and William Menold; and his uncles, 
18
Duane Menold, Dale Zimmerman, Mark Elsasser, and Steve 
19
Elsasser; and

    WHEREAS, BJ Elsasser is survived by his parents; his 
2
brothers, Jeremy Gray and Michel Elsasser; his sisters, Jamie 
3
(Matt) Gray-Palmer, Alexandra Elsasser, and Paige Elsasser; 
4
his maternal grandmother, Lucille Menold; his paternal 
5
grandmother, Lillian Elsasser; his nephew, Coley Palmer; and 
6
his many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

 
7
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
8
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9
his family and friends, the passing of Brian John "BJ" Elsasser 
10
II; and be it further

 
11
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12
presented to the family of Brian John Elsasser II as an 
13
expression of our sympathy.
