SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Clare L. Postel, who passed away on 
4
September 1, 2009; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Clare Postel was a former employee of Commonwealth 
6
Edison, Goldblatts, and Burger King; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Clare Postel was a member and past choir member of 
8
St. Anne Catholic Church of Crest Hill; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Clare Postel was preceded in death by her husband, 
10
Raymond "Pete" Postel; her son, John F. Postel; her parents, 
11
Francis J. and Clara E. (Haverstuhl) McCarthy; her brother, 
12
James Richard McCarthy; and her granddaughters, Kristine 
13
Murphy and Nichole Murphy; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Clare Postel is survived by her children, James 
15
(Therese Onderisin) Postel, Mary (Robert) Nemanich, Nancy 
16
Murphy, Rita Postel, Joan (Ron) Nurczyk, Mike (Nancy) Postel, 
17
Dan (Barb) Postel, Ann Postel, and Leo (Brigitte) Postel; her 
18
grandchildren, Amy Postel (Bernard) Koontz, Greg Postel, Sarah 
19
C. Postel, Todd (Athena) Nemanich, Mark and Ross Nemanich, 
20
Michelle (Scott) Allen, Sarah A. Postel, Trina (Jerome) Semoes, 
21
Nick Postel, Shannon Postel, Cassie and Kelli Clement, and

her sister, Cele Ann (Rich) Ivnik; her sister-in-law, Mary (the

late Ray) Ditsch; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins;

therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
14
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
15
her family and friends, the passing of Clare L. Postel; and be 
16
it further

 
17
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
18
presented to the family of Clare Postel as an expression of our 
19
sympathy.
