SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carol Denise Moss of Chicago, affectionately called "Sweetie", who passed away on September 20, 2009; and

WHEREAS, She was born on July 21, 1961 in Chicago, to Freddie and Geraldine Moss; she was a graduate of St. Leo Elementary School and Chicago Vocational High School; and

WHEREAS, She was a member of the Faith Community of Saint Sabina Church; she worked in the environmental services department of Doctor's Hospital of Hyde Park, Rush Presbyterian, St. James, and Engalls Hospital during her career; and

WHEREAS, She was especially proud of her children, Britnei and Morgan and loved being around her family; and

WHEREAS, She constantly read her Bible, listened to inspirational music, prayed, and stood on God's Word; and

WHEREAS, Carol Moss is survived by her children, Britnei and Morgan; their father, Brian Clark; her parents, Freddie and Geraldine Moss; her brothers, Fred, Jr. (Deborah) and Derek (Kimberly); her sisters, Deborah (William) and Cheryl (Vince) her two nieces; her three nephews; her great-niece; and her four great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Carol Moss; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carol Moss as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
