| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Teresa M. Johnson of Chicago, who passed |

| away on October 4, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on December 6, 1966 to Michael C. |
| 6 |
| Johnson and Corethea Johnson Davis, in Oklahoma; the family |
| 7 |
| later moved to Chicago; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She accepted Christ at an early age and later |
| 9 |
| re-accepted him; she attended Eisenhower High School in |
| 10 |
| Chicago; she worked for the Unicare Insurance Company Claims |
| 11 |
| Department; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She was a writer and a rapper, known in circles as |
| 13 |
| "Lady T", "Big T", and "Cha-Cha"; she gave up her microphone |
| 14 |
| but continued to write lyrics and poetry over the years; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Teresa Johnson is survived by her sister, Alderman |

| Latasha R. Thomas (Timothy); her brothers, Justin Johnson, |
| 18 |
| Aubrey J. Davis, and Michael H. Davis; her aunts, Starlina |

| Floyd, Imani Miller, and Larnetrice Bush; her uncle, Rayfield |
