| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of William J. Carey, formerly of Grayslake, |
| 4 |
| who passed away on July 28, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on October 2, 1919 in Chicago, to the |
| 6 |
| late Patrick and Jane Carey; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, He was a decorated veteran of World War II, |
| 8 |
| serving in the United States Air Force; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and his |
| 10 |
| wife, Frances E. Carey; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, William Carey is survived by his children, Lynn |
| 12 |
| (Harry Peck) Carey, Pat (Daryl Radebaugh) Carey, Bill (Julie) |
| 13 |
| Carey, Kathy (Bob Ganz) Carey, Clif (Shauna) Carey, Sue (Mike |
| 14 |
| Garrity) Carey, Beth (Mike Medora) Carey, and Lauri (Mike) |

| Stromberg; his 16 grandchildren; and his 10 |

| great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
