SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Larry A. Guthrie of Libertyville, who 
4
passed away on August 28, 2009; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Larry Guthrie was born on February 2, 1939, in 
6
Waukegan; he married Marlene Mountz (nee Job) in 1967 in North 
7
Chicago; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, Larry Guthrie was the owner and operator of Doyle 
9
Distributing in Waukegan from 1973 until his retirement in 
10
2005; he served as Past Director of the Bank of Waukegan for 
11
several years; he was a former Employer Trustee for Teamsters 
12
Local #301 from 1990 to 2008; he was also a past member of the 
13
Waukegan City Club; and
  
 
14
    WHEREAS, Larry Guthrie was preceded in death by his first 
15
wife, Patricia, and his parents, Howard and Lillian Guthrie; 
16
and
  
 
17
    WHEREAS, Larry Guthrie is survived by his wife, Marlene; 
18
his daughter, Carrie (Jim) Pierce; his son, Thomas Guthrie; his 
19
grandchildren, Joshua and Andrew Pierce; and his sister, 
20
Patricia (Alan) Sayerstad; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3
his family and friends, the passing of Larry A. Guthrie; and be 
4
it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to the family of Larry Guthrie as an expression of 
7
our sympathy.
