SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Allen G. Tiegs of Lake Bluff, who passed 
4
away on September 17, 2009; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Allen Tiegs was born on February 8, 1934, in 
6
Bruce, Wisconsin; he was a graduate of Bruce High School and 
7
lived in Lake Bluff for the past 51 years; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, Allen Tiegs was employed with the City of Lake 
9
Forest for 37 years until his retirement in 1999; and
  
 
10
    WHEREAS, Allen Tiegs was a member of St. Joseph Parish in 
11
Libertyville; he enjoyed bowling and was a charter member and 
12
former Chairman of the Board of the Knollwood Sportsman's Club; 
13
and
  
 
14
    WHEREAS, Allen Tiegs was preceded in death by his parents, 
15
Frank and Grace Tiegs, and his mother-in-law, Mary Burns 
16
Manning; and
  
 
17
    WHEREAS, Allen Tiegs is survived by his wife of 51 years, 
18
Mary Jane Tiegs; his children, Michael Tiegs, David Tiegs, and 
19
Mary Catherine Tiegs; his grandchildren, Michael Tiegs, 
20
Kaitlin Larson, and Sarah Hoyer; his brother, Otto (Phyllis)

Tiegs; his sister, Gloria Kostka; and his many nieces and 
2
nephews; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
4
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
his family and friends, the passing of Allen G. Tiegs; and be 
6
it further
  
 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Allen Tiegs as an expression of our 
9
sympathy.
