| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Fred C. Hlousek of Venice, Florida, |
| 4 |
| formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on September 23, 2009; |
| 5 |
| and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Fred Hlousek served his country with pride and |
| 7 |
| distinction as a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 129th |
| 8 |
| Infantry of the National Guard during World War II; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Fred Hlousek was a member of the Knights of |
| 10 |
| Columbus Council 731 in Waukegan and the Fourth Degree Assembly |
| 11 |
| 0197 in Round Lake for 24 years; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Fred Hlousek is survived by his beloved wife, |
| 13 |
| Amalie; his children, Sandy Gedridge, Melanie Snider, Fred |
| 14 |
| (Joyce) Hlousek, Jr., Robert (Gloria) Hlousek, Mary Beth Smith, |
| 15 |
| Ted (Mary) Soenksen, and Trudy (Joe) Valente; his niece, Jackie |
| 16 |
| Roepaneck; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, |
| 17 |
| and great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |

| his family and friends, the passing of Fred C. Hlousek; and be |
