SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Reverend Dale G. Clemens of Collinsville, 
4
who passed away on November 15, 2009; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens served as head pastor at the 
6
Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville for 27 years 
7
until his retirement; after retiring, he served at Meadow 
8
Heights as an associate pastor, where he worked with senior 
9
citizens and did counseling work; he most recently served as 
10
Pastor Emeritus; and
  
 
11
    WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens was very active in the Illinois 
12
Baptist State Association, serving as president twice during 
13
the 1970s; and
  
 
14
    WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens was preceded in death by his 
15
parents, Arthur and Tessie Clemens; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, Rev. Dale Clemens is survived by his wife of 55 
17
years, Ada Ann Clemens; his children, Kimberly (Robert) Martin 
18
and Jeffrey (Jananne) Clemens; his grandchildren, Peter 
19
Clemens, Matthew Martin, Caitlin Clemens, Andrew Martin, Emma 
20
Clemens, James Clemens, and Zoe Clemens; and his brother, Bill 
21
Clemens; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3
his family and friends, the passing of Reverend Dale G. 
4
Clemens; and be it further
  
 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to the family of Rev. Dale Clemens as an expression 
7
of our sympathy.
