| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Joseph Rago of Geneva, who passed away on |
| 4 |
| November 13, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Rago was born on September 25, 1960, in |
| 6 |
| Chicago; his parents were Michael and Maria (Nardella) Rago; he |
| 7 |
| married Nanci Partlo on September 6, 1987, in Oak Park; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Rago graduated from Broadview Academy in |
| 9 |
| LaFox in 1978; he earned his bachelor's degree in history and |
| 10 |
| economics from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan |
| 11 |
| and his law degree from the Illinois Institute of |
| 12 |
| Technology/Chicago Kent College of Law; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Rago was employed as an assistant state's |
| 14 |
| attorney for Kane County and as a first assistant state's |
| 15 |
| attorney for DeKalb County before opening up his own practice |
| 16 |
| in 2001; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Rago was the founder and the first |
| 18 |
| president of the Kane County Justinian Society of Lawyers; he |
| 19 |
| was the recipient of the Leonardo da Vinci Jurisprudence Award |
| 20 |
| of Excellence from the Order Sons of Italy in America; and
