| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Victoria Grom of the Gurnee and Waukegan |
| 4 |
| area, who passed away on December 25, 2009; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on September 7, 1918 in Slovenia and |
| 6 |
| came to the United States at the age of 7; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She was employed as a cook at Mathon's Restaurant |
| 8 |
| in Waukegan for many years and at several other restaurants in |
| 9 |
| the area; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Waukegan Park Place Senior |
| 11 |
| Center and she enjoyed flowers and gardening; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank |
| 13 |
| Grom; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Victoria Grom is survived by her sons, John Grom |
| 15 |
| and Bill (Cheryl) Grom; her daughter, Marie (Richard) Dohnke; |
| 16 |
| her daughter-in-law, Sharon Vogt; her nine grandchildren, |
| 17 |
| John, Robin, Tracee, Michelle, Sandi, Sindi, Bill, Wes, and |
| 18 |
| Shannon; her 6 great-grandchildren, Ben, Jamie, Hannah, |
| 19 |
| Brandon, Brittany, and Montana; her brother, Alex (Lois) Von |
| 20 |
| Neumann; her friend, Rose; her friend Verne; as well as her |
