SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Linda Joyce Reiher of Carlinville, who 
4
passed away on January 26, 2010; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher was born on October 28, 1948, in 
6
Springfield; her parents were Norman and Betty Boente; she 
7
married Richard Reiher on December 22, 1966, at the Carlinville 
8
United Methodist Church; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher was a graduate of Carlinville High 
10
School; and
  
 
11
    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher was employed with the State of 
12
Illinois, Sullivan's Drugs, and Carl's IGA; and
  
 
13
    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher was a member of the St. Paul United 
14
Church of Christ; and
  
 
15
    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher enjoyed vacationing, scrapbooking, 
16
and spending time with her family; and
 
17
    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher was preceded in death by her parents 
18
and her stepfather, Wendell Bates; and

    WHEREAS, Linda Reiher is survived by her husband; her sons, 
2
Chris Reiher and David (Monica) Reiher; her grandchildren, 
3
Brandon Reiher, Ashley Reiher-Thompson, Whitney Reiher, Molly 
4
Reiher, Lexi Reiher, Katie Reiher, and Matthew Reiher; her 
5
brothers, Mike Bates and John (Linda) Boente; her sister, Janet 
6
(Jim) Shade; her aunt; and her many nieces and nephews; 
7
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
9
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
10
her family and friends, the passing of Linda Joyce Reiher; and 
11
be it further
  
 
12
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13
presented to the family of Linda Reiher as an expression of our 
14
sympathy.
