SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Marvine Joyce Klopmeier of Bethalto, who
4 passed away on January 21, 2010; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on March 10, 1935, in Bunker Hill to
6 Nelson and Lydia (Enke) Weidner; on July 28, 1956, at the Zion
7 Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill, she married Leland Klopmeier;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, She graduated from Passavant Memorial Area
10 Hospital School of Nursing in Jacksonville in 1956; she
11 completed her bachelor of arts in health education from Eastern
12 Illinois University in 1976; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Her career in nursing spanned 30 years, working in
14 several hospitals; she also worked in several school districts
15 as a professional school nurse, including Bunker Hill,
16 Carlinville, and Homewood Flossmoor School District; since she
17 retirement, she enjoyed traveling, golfing, quilting, and
18 spending time with family and friends; and
 
19     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and her
20 father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Alma Klopmeier;
21 and

1     WHEREAS, Marvine Klopmeier is survived by her husband,
2 Leland; her three daughters, Dawn Klopmeier (Charles
3 Earnshaw), Laurel (Steve) West, and Gayla (Steve) Walters; her
4 eight grandchildren, Suzy (Paul) Bugenhagen, Scott (Tyler)
5 Wheeler, Kelly (Brett) Sollberger, Kyle West (Ericka Wise), Amy
6 West, Lori (Tim) Lambeth, Molly Walters, and Megan Walters; her
7 two brothers, Gerald (Louise) Weidner and Eugene (Joyce)
8 Weidner; her brother-in-law, William (Verlene) Klopmeier; and
9 her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews;
10 therefore, be it
 
11     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13 her family and friends, the passing of Marvine Klopmeier; and
14 be it further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to the family of Marvine Klopmeier as a symbol of our
17 sincere sympathy.
